Previewing Files

You can preview files in the Quote and Available folders before creating a quote and claiming a submission.

To preview files:

  1. On the dashboard, view new submissions in the Quote or Available folder as shown in the screenshot below.

  2. Choose a submission and click Preview Files under the quotation or translation tab as shown in the screenshot below.

    The Preview Files dialog box appears.

  3. Sort based on Language or Batch.
  4. Select the checkbox for the Language or Batch you wish to preview.
  5. Click Preview Files.

    The batch name(s) and the corresponding files are listed.

  6. Click on the file name to open or save the file to your computer.
  7. Select the Source Files checkbox to download the files in original file format.
  8. Select the Translation Kit checkbox to download the translation kit.
  9. Choose the translatable file format from the drop down list, if required.
  10. Click Download to save the source files and/or the translation kit to your computer.
      Note:

    The downloaded translation kit will include the following:

    • The Quotation folder includes the TXML/TXLF file(s) for translation.

      You will be given a choice of default format (TXML/TXLF) or other translatable file format if the project is so configured by the System Administrator.

    • The Reference folder includes files for reference during translation.

      The reference folder will appear only if the client submitter includes reference files in the submission.

    • The Glossary folder includes the glossary file in TXT format.

      The glossary folder will appear only if there is Term Manager integration set up for the client.

    • The Project TM folder includes the TM with fuzzy matches, which the translator can use while working offline. The Project TM folder will appear only if there are fuzzy matches found in the remote TM.

    • The Analysis folder includes the TM leverage statistics.

    • The Source folder includes the source files in the original file format.

    • The Instructions and Project Background folders include special instructions and project background added by the client submitter, if any.
