Using Machine Translation

TransStudio Online includes an automated machine translation feature, when enabled in the Project Director configuration, that populates translations whenever a file is opened and when there are no translation memory segment matches.

To use machine translation from the TXLF Editor Translation tab:

Follow the steps in Opening Files.
Select the segment to be machine translated by clicking on the target segment.

Click Machine Translation in the Translation Memory section of the Translation tab.
The machine translation appears in the target segment with the background color as specified for Machine Translated segments.

Note:

Machine translation must be enabled in the project, as configured in Project Director (PD). If Machine Translation is not enabled, the actions described in this section are not be available.

Machine translation is enabled only for the current segment.
